techicolor PRADA

It's official.

Ever since I watched S/S 2011 Fashion Shows and keeping an eye to all those beautiful footwear, I proudly present PRADA as the winner. The collection is absolutely a head turner. With nary a stiletto in sight, Miuccia Prada gave us a bold look at where footwear is headed and presented the strongest shoe collection of the season.
All in all, the shoes were a technicolor feast for the eyes from every angle, accented with shimmering space-aged silver leather. Are you a shoe-addict? Here we go. These are not your average -on the go- shoes. LOL. Obviously, these shoes will be my personal lust objects for the next six months!

These designs inspire the kind of love that even high price tags cannot dampen.

Giuseppe Zanotti T-bar platform sandal

I know I haven't write my Shoebsession post for such a long time. But that doesn't mean I lost my interest in shoes. Shoes would always be the love of my life.

This time, I wanna confess about my obsession to t-bar shoes.
And Giuseppe Zanotti is successfully caught my eyes.
Saw it first at net-a-porter and was falling in love instantly. With heel approx 5.5 inches, this oh-so-flirtatious platform sandals made from snakeskin-embossed leather in cream color. Yummy!

I imagine myself wearing it with embellished bodycon minidress and messy hair.. Or just simply pair it with loose top in same color, denim shorts, hobo handbag and you're ready to go!

one down, million to go...

I'm talking about wedding parties and those patronizing noise sounds "when's your turn?". I sometimes joked, "oh, next February! Just wait for the invitation." and my friend replied, "how come you didn't tell me?". And I was like, "why should I?"

Anyway, other than draining my wallet, wedding parties bring a good thing too such as, I can do my own make up now! My sister learned to be a make up artist, so we decided to buy some make up palettes and start to experience by ourselves.
I've always loved make up and have a pretty complete collection at home. But a girl always want for more. So last week I bought some new essentials make ups like:

  1.  Foundation ~  I have mixed feeling with my MUFE HD Foundation, cos many other make up artist often use the Face n Body rather than HD. But I bought it anyway Verdicts: soft and silky and blend perfectly in my face. And as promised, look great on photo. It's less shiny than Face n Body, perfect for my normal to oily skin.
  2. Base make up ~ my friend suggested me to buy the base from Shiseido, so our make up would last a little longer and oil free. Verdicts: my make up last longer without any touch up needed, love it!
  3. Loose powder ~ I've been using Estee Lauder pressed powder for almost two years now, so I decide to buy EL's loose powder too. Although I used MAC studio fix as my compact powder. Verdicts: light as air, I always use brush better than its sponge. Great for everyday use.
  4. Blush on ~ my biggest beauty obsession would always be looking healthy, glowing tan. But I still couldn't achieve the look :( When I visited MUFE counter, the SA told me to try Aqua Creme (that can be use as blush on, eyeshadow, and lipstick also) in gold shade. Verdicts: you must apply aqua creme after foundation / before powder cos it's a bit glittery (to achieve the glowing look). Apply it simply with your finger and you'll be amazed how it turn to be. I LOVE LOVE it!
  5. Liquid eye liner ~ I tried YSL this time after being a devotee of Kanebo eyeliner for years. Verdicts: I admit its longevity and water proof formula, but I still don't like the applicator. Too thin. Maybe I'll switch back to Kanebo later.
  6. Lipglass and lipsticks ~ I'm a huge fan of all glossy things for my lips! This time I only added MAC lipglass to my collection which I'm sure you knew how it was. And Estee Lauder lipsticks in nude and pink shade (they were left in my cosmetic bag somewhere so I haven't take a pic of them)
  7. Palette ~ after careful consideration, my sister and I finally decided to buy NYX make up palette. Beside its price that didn't hurt my bank account, NYX turned out great too. Contains 36 eyeshadows, 5 lipsticks, 4 blush on, and highlighter... I think it's more than enough for us as a beginner.

    Here's my first experience!!
I know it's so far away from perfect, but at least I've tried. I did my own make up, but still had to go to the hair salon and get my hair done.

I have many more wedding parties to attend! I'll keep posting the photos and share my looks and beauty experience! It's way much better to share those kind of experience than complaining about same old sh*t isn't it?

    xmas-phere :)

We're a few days away to Xmas!! No wonder every malls (especially in Jakarta) glam up themselves with a wonderful Xmas theme.
Last weekend we finally catch a glimpse of Xmas at Pacific Place. We welcomed by a huge transparent snow ball, a little stage (that I later learn used by children whom performed ballet), and many xmas trees scattered all over the mall. There's also a fake snow twice a day (mostly during the performance)
Anyway, each and every tree has a different theme such as:

    • Microsoft hardware xmas tree (yes it was made by motherboards. Keyboard, and mouse as its ornaments!)
    • Vivere gift tree (made by photo frames and mainly flowers)
    •  Fiber glass xmas tree
    • Wooden xmas tree
    • Sprite xmas tree. LOL

And you know what? I didn't bring a camera with me! That's kinda sucks to snapped some beautiful pictures with only a camera phone :(
    But here they are..... Enjoy!

    Sprite xmas tree. LOL
love is in the air <3

In between photo shoots, we had brunch at Potato Head and met a very cute little boy named Lawson. He kept looking at me and smiled all the time!!! His Mom introduced his little boy to me and Dieter even took him to play. OMG I really wanted to pinch him but afraid his Mom would mad at me. LOL. So here's me, pretended to take a photo, with a bit flash of him. =D

    me wiv lil Lawston :)

    how cute he was <3

Later that night, my sister Imelda asked us to dinner at Japanese restaurant. Geez I forgot the name, but it's located at Nikko Hotel. I ordered the hottest one, called Zigoku Ramen, and guess what? I get diarrhea the next day! >.<
But of course, I'll come back for more!!! LOL

From all photos above, here's one of my favorite... Naturally beautiful :)

    my fave photo!!

Now let's embrace the xmas time by spreading love, joy, and peacefulness around us

    Lanvin hearts H&M

    Fashion collaboration is HUGE now.

    Lanvin hearts H&M ad campaign
I've adored Lanvin as long as I care to remember. The bow signature shoes, the thrilling frills dresses, and the beauty of their color palette every season in a runway.... Then I walked into Harvey Nichols just to found out that the dress cost thousands of dollars. Damn.

So when I heard the gossip that Lanvin will collaborate with H&M, I couldn't believe my ear.
Time flies and there I was. Seeing Lanvin hearts H&M collection for the first time, I could feel my heart beating faster and my blood getting colder. I AM IN LOVE.
They were so beautiful... and cheap. I mean, for a top designer like Lanvin. Oh how I love collaboration! Word on the street stated that the material isn't that cheap either (YAY!) I never imagine in a million years having a Lanvin in my closet. Geez. Ready for the mantra?
I HAVE to HAVE it. At least by Christmas, it MUST hang in my closet.

Too bad we don't have any H&M store in Indonesia. And there would be only 12 lucky stores in this whole world that provide the collection. Argh.... Suddenly I remember the power of eBay. Hate the fact that they doubled the price, but I don't have any choices though. I hope there's one of my friend who will go to Shanghai/Hongkong next month so I can ask them to buy it for me. IF they're selling the collection there.
But however, again, heard from a grapevine that H&M will open their first store in Jakarta! CANT HARDLY WAIT.

Here are some of the collection of what would be the season's ultimate street-does-culture mash-up, courtesy of some planet-taking Swedes and the French. Small world. Fast fashion. BIG business.

    1. Trench Coat and Outerwear
These are my personal favorite, but if I have to choose one, it would be..... Ah hard choice.   All of them are gorgeous. The faux fur jacket is fabulous! (as seen on the woman pictured below) But I'll never be able to wear it in my country -_-"

    faux fur jacket

     2. Shoes Haul!
I'm dying. Theses shoes are pretty much reflected the "real" Lanvin shoes with its signature bow. And again, I can't choose between them. Maybe the red and black pumps are more versatile. Do you know how much they cost? Pssst... USD 99 only!

    the detail
    3. Tops and Skirts
The skirts are soooo Lanvin! Flirtatious sexy, although I don't like the black layer lace one.. If only they would add more color..
    Love the t-shirt too!

    one word: FLIRTATIOUS

    girlie t-shirt!

    4. Dresses
Breathtaking collection. I don't know how I look with these kind of dresses, but I love everything that H&M offered! Hehe.. How greedy I am. Well maybe if I have to narrow down my choice, I would choose.............. Sorry guys I can't choose my favorite either!!
    • I love one shoulder dress (1&2) but I don't know how they look in real object and how they fit me.
    • The tutu dress (3) is overrated though, although will look good in some petite women (but I have no idea when and where to wear this kind of dress LOL).
    • Frills dress on no.4 is not bad at all.. Classic yet trendy at the same time. It could be your LBD, but not a boring one.
    • Ah... Finally I found more love in dress no. 5! I love the color, the pattern, and it could be great in me cos I have such a small bust and narrow waist. The layer seems normal too. It's very elegant, can be worn on day and night. Maybe it would be a safe choice for me (if I'm going to shop online)
    • Long sleeve dress (no. 6) is definitely not for me, moreover the color is black. Hmm I think I have to get rid of blacks. I have a tan skin, black doesn't help me much to increase the "glow" in me. So far, it's my least favorite.
    • 7&8 is very Carrie Bradshaw, with huge flower below the shoulder. If I have to choose, I'll absolutely choose the orange color! Playful and so young and fresh!
    • I don't know how the metalic color works (dress no.10), maybe it would be good in a club? And the pink one (no.9) for luncheon and kids birthday party. Hehe
    • Dress no. 11 is great! But again, I hate the color. Lanvin could have chosen more color palette than this. Grey or maybe a colorful one would bring good in this dress. While no. 12 is better than 11. Love the color and the detail on upper arm will successfully hidden a huge arm!
    • No. 13 is another favorite of mine. I love love love the color! One shoulder is sooo me and the raw edge makes the dress looks a bit edgy yet feminine (because the frill detail on shoulder). This is my 2nd choice.

     5. Accessories
As for the accessories.. I was a bit worried about the material they use. Cos it looks like very cheap for me, like they were made by plastics and all. But when it comes to accs, you have to feel it.. I'm not an accessories person though.
    daring red

    pretty pearl and gem

All in all, these beautiful Lanvin hearts H&M Collection don't disappoint me. They really represent the beauty of Lanvin but at the same time, it reflects the youth of H&M. So what do you think? Do they live up your expectation?
I remember couple years ago I failed to buy Madonna for H&M glasses and tracksuit cos at that time, I didn't know how to shop on eBay (let alone have a credit card). I hope I won't fail again this time. Wish me luck!
